At an official ceremony the founder of NATSTIM company, Professor Rahamin Shekerdjiiski, PhD was awarded by President of Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev with the “Stara Planina Order” first degree for merits in the development of science and practice in the field of pharmacy in Bulgaria.

Prof. Shekerdjiiski is a longtime professor at the Medical University – Sofia, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, a prominent scientist in the field of pharmacy with more than 66 years of work experience. There are nearly 80 developments of medicinal products, 30 of which are well known in practice, among them medicinal product named Benalgin.

The nomination of the Professor for the high state award is supported by a declaration of the local Municipal council in Dupnitsa – the birthplace of the pharmacist and whose honorary citizen he is. He has done a lot for his city, supporting schools, kindergartens and the local football club.

Professor Shekerdjiiski donated the house where he was born in Dupnitsa to the Municipality with the willingness to create a Museum of Pharmacy and to be used for scientific purposes by students, scientists and specialists in the field of pharmacy.
